1. Why do some translated PDFs show "double text" or invisible translations?
In many cases, scanned PDF files contain a hidden layer of text generated by previous OCR processes.
When these scanned PDFs are submitted for translation, the system might overlay the new translation on top of the existing hidden text, causing a "double text" (ghosting) effect, or the translated text might appear underneath the original image layer (making it look like nothing changed).
â Solution: We recommend uploading digitally born PDFs (documents directly exported from Word/Docs) rather than scanned images. Alternatively, use a PDF tool to "flatten" your document before uploading to convert it into a single layer.
2. Why did my document translation fail?
There are three common reasons for a "Failed" status:
- Timeout: The task took too long to process. Currently, tasks that remain incomplete 1 hour after submission are marked as failed.
- Document Anomaly: The file structure is corrupted or incompatible (e.g., uploading a file renamed as .pdf that actually contains only images without structure). These errors usually appear shortly after submission.
- Account Issues: Your account may have run out of credits (quota) or has been restricted.
3. How do I choose the best translation model?
Different models excel at different tasks. For a detailed comparison between GPT-5 Mini, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and others across Engineering, Medical, and Literary scenarios, please refer to our benchmark guide:

4. Why are there "patch-like" blocks on my translated document?
This occurs when your document relies on OCR (Optical Character Recognition) for processing.
Many documents are composed entirely of images or contain scanned sections. To translate these, we use advanced OCR technology combined with layout analysis. Since the text inside an image is not natively editable, the system places a background color block (a "patch") over the original text area to cover the old language and display the new translation clearly.
5. Why does the font size vary between paragraphs?
Translation often results in text expansion. For example, translating Chinese into English usually results in a text block that is 20% to 50% longer.
To preserve the original document's layout and ensure the text stays within its designated area, our system automatically shrinks the font size for longer translations.
This is why some paragraphs may appear smaller than the surrounding text. We are continuously optimizing our layout algorithms to make these adjustments more subtle and visually coordinated.
6. How does the translation queue work?
To ensure fairness and efficiency, the translation queue follows this priority order:
- đ„ Max Users (Highest Priority)
- đ„ Pro Users
- đ„ Free Users
Note: We dynamically expand our server capacity based on the total number of tasks in the queue to ensure that all users' tasks are processed as quickly as possible.
7. Do I need to keep the page open while waiting?
No, you do not.
Once your task is successfully submitted, our system processes it in the background. You can safely close the tab or browser; it will not affect the translation progress.
- Retrieval: Simply return to the website within 24 hours to download your file (files are automatically deleted after this period for privacy).
- Notification: You can enable "Email Notifications." We will send the result and a download link to your inbox as soon as it's done.
8. Is my uploaded file secure?
To perform the translation, our system must access the content of your document. However, we implement strict security measures:
- Encryption: Files are encrypted during transmission and storage.
- Auto-Deletion: We guarantee that your original documents and translated files are permanently deleted 24 hours after the translation is complete.
â ïž Important Privacy Note: While we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee absolute isolation. Your document content is transmitted to Large Language Models (LLMs) like OpenAI or Google Gemini for processing. The security policy during that specific processing phase is subject to the respective model providers.
Recommendation: We do not recommend uploading documents containing Classified or Strictly Confidential information to the public cloud version.
